COO Sheryl Sandberg Sees Global ‘Ambition Gap’ for Women via Bloomberg TV

Sandberg spoke Jan. 27 on a panel at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, about personal obstacles for females in the workplace.

Success and likeability are positively correlated for men and negatively correlated for women. As a man gets more powerful and successful, he is better liked. As a woman gets more powerful and successful, she is less liked.

The United Nations says today symbolically marks the moment when the world’s population reaches 7 billion. A little more than two centuries ago, the global population was 1 billion. How did it grow so big so fast? With the help of a sound montage and video, it gets a little easier to see how the Earth can produce that kind of a crowd.
